Patricia Lane Investigations was founded in 2015 in Cumming, Georgia. The President and CEO of PLI, Jane Holmes, began her career in investigations in 2004 as co owner and operations manager for Investigative Resources, Inc. In 2008, Jane obtained her Private Detective employee license and utilized her real estate experience in conducting hundreds of mortgage fraud investigations after the collapse of the housing market. Subsequent frauds associated with the real estate collapses led to investigating bankruptcy fraud, reverse mortgage fraud, and illegal schemes of sovereign citizens.
PLI developed a reputation for a congenial approach to witnesses, claimants, and interviewees and has earned success in garnering cooperation from those who otherwise may be uncooperative. With such, PLI works closely in cases of litigation support, SIU investigations, Insurance liability claims, undercover operative work, and missing persons cases. Other specializations in the field include loss prevention, security compliance, surveillance skip trace, background due diligence, subpoena service, and employment locates for garnishment.
PLI is proud to work side by side with some of the best missing persons investigators in the county. We license one of the most talented and respected K-9 Search and Rescue agents in the nation, Trace Sargent. Sargent's years of experience and sophisticated training coupled with highly trained canines, is an invaluable, but often unused, tool in the search for missing persons.
PLI has agents licensed in Georgia, Alabama, and Texas and hold active membership in four state associations including the Georgia Association of Professional Private Investigators (GAPPI), Alabama Private Investigator's Association (APIA), Florida Association of Licensed Investigators (FALI), and Texas Association of Licensed Investigators (TALI),. CEO Jane Holmes served as the 2016 & 2017 Vice President of the Georgia Association of Professional Private Investigators and was Chairman of the Legislative Committee. Jane worked closely with the associations lobbyist and assisted in lobby efforts in the Georgia General Assembly to protect the interest of her industry.
